Quick Yet Delicious Pasta Recipes You Will Fall In Love With

Everybody loves pasta. The preference mostly comes with the type of sauce you serve with it, but it is one of the ultimate comfort foods there are. Some pasta dishes are complicated to make and the cooking time is long. But if you’re looking for a recipe that’s quick to make but will still have the taste of a complicated dish, these pasta recipes are definitely a must-try!

The Classic Aglio E Olio

What you need:

  • 1/2 kilogram spaghetti pasta
  • 10 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta to al dente according to package instructions. Place garlic and olive oil in a pan and cook over medium high heat, stirring until garlic is golden. When ready, add the cooked pasta in the pan and toss to coat with oil and garlic. Add the parsley and chilli flakes then season with salt and pepper. Serve warm and topped with parmesan cheese.

Creamy Mushroom and Zucchini Pasta

What you need:

  • 1/2 kilogram pasta
  • 1/2 kilogram cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 2 pcs. Zucchini, thinly sliced and quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • 2/3 cup green peas
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper to taste

Mix together pasta, mushrooms, zucchini, garlic, thyme, water and green peas in a large stock pot. Stir to combine ingredients well. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil over medium high heat then lower heat and simmer until pasta is cooked, about 8 to 10 minutes. When ready, stir in parmesan and heavy cream. Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes. Serve immediately.

Spicy Cheese and Shrimp Penne

What you need:

  • 1/2 kilogram shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup penne pasta, cooked
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt and black pepper

Combine garlic, olive oil, sugar, soy sauce and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Add shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat with mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Cook the shrimp and olive oil mixture in a pan over medium high heat until shrimp is cooked through. Add the pasta to the pan, season with salt and pepper and stir until heated through. Serve garnished with onions and parmesan.
