Michelle Department is aware of she’s pregnant when… she’s obtained a craving for scones.
The 38-calendar year-aged singer/songwriter uncovered Sunday on Instagram that she and her husband, drummer for The Black Keys, Patrick Carney are expecting their 2nd baby together.
“You know you might be expecting when…” Branch captioned her social media put up. “Woke up to a picture my friend Sonya sent of scones she was consuming in England and I straight away experienced to hop out of bed and make a batch myself. @officerpatrickcarney was my hero (as common) and went to the current market in lookup of double product.”
Branch wrote she “couldn’t be far more energized” to “announce child Carney is coming early 2022!” but extra she’s also nervous.
“Good day, pregnancy following miscarriage any person?!” she ongoing, referring to a miscarriage she knowledgeable in December.
At the time, Branch shared on social media a recap of her 2020, crafting: “Just when we had been rounding 3rd and heading residence (A baseball metaphor?! I know.) 2020 was like, ‘nah, I ain’t performed yet.’ December made a decision to truly finish us off with a bang! No, basically. A bomb went off in downtown Nashville yesterday. But she ended her caption on an optimistic notice. “These people, my important spouse and children, my partner, sister and little ones have been the MVP’s. I could not envision paying out a yr isolated with everyone else. Happy Christmas, all people xx.”
Many took to the Instagram reviews Sunday to rejoice Branch and give their congratulations.
Actress Juliette Lewis wrote: “AaaaaaHHH SO Happy for you&your gorgeous rising family members.”

Branch and Carney, married in April 2019 at Marigny Opera Household in New Orleans immediately after becoming engaged in 2017. The couple achieved in 2015 at a Grammy Awards social gathering in Los Angeles.
The couple share son, Rhys, 2. Branch is also mother to Owen, 16, whom she shares with her ex-partner, bassist Teddy Landau.
Carney was beforehand married to Emily Ward and Denise Grollmus.
