In 1921, James and Dominic Wells opened Wells Brothers Restaurant on the corner of 22nd and Mead in Racine. James operated the restaurant till his dying in 1944 and then sons Tony and Person took over the cafe right up until 1999. During that time period, the restaurant liked numerous superior situations but also weathered some hardships. In 1967, two fires completely destroyed the inside of the restaurant. The brothers rebuilt to its’ present overall look. Continuing in the family members-owned custom, in 1999 3rd technology owners Monthly bill Rivers and Paula Wells Huck took around until 2016. Monthly bill now runs the organization with the assist of his daughters who will be the fourth generation to have on the company.
